All college programs are managed by a semester system (Odd and even semester). All PG program are conducted within the Choice based credit system (CBCS).
The examination controller’s office (WCC) of the University is responsible for releasing the notification of examination application form, conducts semi-annual reviews and emission results.

GU reviews are conducted on a biannual basis.

University conducts session of exams (mid-term exams) and at the end of semester exams for each semester.
Odd semester examinations for UG programs are conducted from November to December and for PG programs in the month of December each year.
Even semester examinations for UG courses are conducted from April to May and in June for PG courses.
Department coe the issue of university admit card to all students and are required to wear at the examination center in the semester exams end.

Gauhati University (GU) is one of the largest and oldest university in North East India. GU is a university teaching-cum-affiliating located in Guwahati, Assam. It was created in 1948 by the Gauhati University Act 1947 (Act Assam XVI of 1947) of the Government of Assam. It is funded by the Government of the State Commission of Assam and the University Grant (UGC).
